据欧盟食品安全局（EFSA）消息， 7月24日欧盟食品安全局专家组就发酵乳杆菌（Lactobacillus fermentum）CECT 5716的健康声称发布意见。

   按照欧盟委员会（EC） No 1924/2006第14章的要求，Biosearch Life公司通过法国向欧盟食品安全局提交申请，要求评估发酵乳杆菌CECT 5716与降低母乳中葡萄球菌的健康声称。

   母乳中葡萄球菌可引起乳腺炎。欧盟食品安全局审查了与此相关的3篇文献后，得出结论认为，发酵乳杆菌CECT 5716与降低母乳中葡萄球菌进而减少乳腺炎感染风险之间不存在因果关系。

   Following an application Ｆｒｏｍ Biosearch Life， submitted for authorisation of a health claim pursuant to Article 14 of Regulation （EC） No 1924/2006 via the Competent Authority of France， the EFSA Panel on Dietetic Products， Nutrition and Allergies （NDA） was asked to deliver an opinion on the scientific substantiation of a health claim related to Lactobacillus fermentum CECT 5716 and decreases the Staphylococcus load in breast milk. High Staphylococcus load in breast milk is a risk factor for infectious mastitis.
